F. Pupulin & D.E. Mora-Retana. 1994. A revision of the Costa Rican species of Trichocentrum (Orchidaceae). Selbyana 15(2): 87—103.

Abstract. Seven Trichocentrum species are recognized for Costa Rica, including five of the eight previously reported taxa. Two new species, T. costaricense and T. dianthum, are described. Taxonomical, ecological and phenological notes are given for each species.

Pupulin, F. 1995. A revision of the genus Trichocentrum (Orchidaceae: Oncidiinae). Lindleyana 10(3): 183-210.

Abstract: A taxnomic revision of the genus Trichocentrum is presented. The history of lhe genus is highlighted and phylogenetic relationships discussed. Twenty-three species are recognized, pertaining to seven natural groups. Characters of each group are discussed and keys to groups and spccies are included. Two new species, T. estrellense and T. wagneri are described.
