Epidendrum pygmaeum Hook., Bot. Mag. 60: t. 3233. 1833.
TYPE: Brazil. In 1832, I had first the pleasure of receiving this plant from Mrs. Arnold Harrison of Aigburgh, to whom it was sent by her brother from Brazil. In January 1833, specimens both in flower and in fruit were obligingly communicated to me by Charles Horsefall, who received the plant from William Parke, A. Harrison s.n. (holotype, K; illustration of type).
