TYPE: Costa Rica. An epiphyte from Costa Rica, with a pendulous short raceme of yellowish, somewhat fragrant flowers. This is one of M. Warczewitz's collection, imported in 1849 by Mr. Skinner. It was found at Turrialba, in Costa Rica. Blossomed in July in the nursery of Messrs. Lane and Son, of Berkhampsted, M. Warscewicz s.n. (holotype, K).
